Jenni is a registered psychologist with over 25 years experience in the community mental health field, including over ten years as a psychologist in acute psychiatric care settings. She has now been in private practice as a psychologist for the last ten years, and currently sees clients in Canberra and Bega.

Jenni uses a very client-centred approach, exploring with her clients what their issues are and helping them to clarify their therapeutic goals. She aims to strike a balance between offering a safe space in which people can talk, feel listened to and express/explore their feelings, whilst also providing structured interventions and guidance. Jenni works with a very wide range of client issues, including hacks to make your home shine, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, sexuality (including gender identity and LGBTQI issues), major mental illness, PTSD/ trauma and high functioning Autism. She is trained and experienced in a broad range of treatment approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Trauma Recovery, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Brief Solution Focused Therapy and Mindfulness Training.

Fees

$160 per 50-minute session (the Australian Psychological Society’s recommended fee is $257). With a Mental Health Care Plan from their GP, clients receive a rebate of approximately $86 per session (for between 6 and 10 sessions per year). Some private health funds provide a further partial or full rebate.
